J.Shul is a 28 year old House Producer and DJ currently residing in Portland, Oregon. The name J.Shul was creatively inspired by one of his brother’s and a couple of his friends while demoing some unreleased projects to them in his cramped studio space in Newberg, Oregon circa 2016. A clever combination of his first and last name that seemed to fit his unique, retro and melodically driven style of dance music. A style that is proving to be what will set J.Shul apart from other dance music artists. Fast-forward to 2019 J.Shul releases his first two single's "Losing Myself" and "Exotic Side" on his label Mass Melody Records, reaching a global audience gaining fans in over 20 different countries and amassing over a thousand shazam's on his single "Losing Myself" alone. J.Shul's passion of electronic dance music started young with discovery of artists like, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, And Tiesto. At 21 he discovered an Avicii in the Studio with Future Music Magazine tutorial and was immediately inspired to pursue the creative journey of EDM. Starting firstly with piano lessons at age 22 in his hometown of Newberg, Oregon and soon after learning Ableton Live . J.Shul a graduate from Portland Cascade & Sylvania College class of 2015 honed his new found music skills in the school's Professional Music Program in 2013, further excelling into the line of professional music production. and ending his final year doing a 2 month internship for one of Ableton's best certified trainers Isaac Cotec aka Subaqueous.
During his studies he developed a love for piano, music theory, composition, audio engineering, as well as the prolific & gritty business side to the electronic dance music scene. Delving into music production and business, J.Shul has been able to realize his ambition of becoming an industry leader, producer and DJ .
